Inspired by the hugely popular 1980s television series My Little Pony, fans of the show and the more recent series and MLP movie will be familiar with its cast of unique and appealing ponies, including Twilight Sparkle.
Several years ago, when the new television series My Little Pony Friendship is Magic hit our screens, one of the show’s most famous protagonists had evolved from being a magical pony to an alicorn, a cross between a unicorn and a Pegasus.
Some fans of the original series initially criticized this transformation, but most went on to quickly fall in love with the new version. In fact, it’s fair to say that people of all ages couldn’t get enough of the show.
So, American toy and game manufacturer Hasbro expanded the MLP range, creating several versions of the My Little Pony Princess Twilight Sparkle toy.

While extremely popular with young girls aged 3 and older, My Little Pony Princess Twilight Sparkle is also a hit with adult females who grew up watching the TV show from whence she originated. As a result, many adults have bought the toy as a memento and collector’s item.

My Little Pony Princess Twilight Sparkle is a large, soft-to-the-touch interactive toy that will delight any little girl. With features and a voice mimicking those she is known for in the MLP movie, she is popular with both 
fans of the show and those who have never watched it.
Princess Twilight is purple with blue Pegasus wings and golden hooves. She has large purple eyes, long fluttery eyelashes, and a silky pink and purple mane.
Twilight’s removable gold tiara features pink diamond motifs. Her mane can be brushed and styled in various ways.
And, as your little one plays hairdresser, Twilight will talk to her.
Having bendable legs, with a bit of help, she can sit as well as stand upright.
State-of-the-art sensors are located in Princess Twilight’s left hoof, horn, and cheeks. Press any of these, and her horn will light up, her wings will light up and twinkle, she’ll move her head and blink, giggle, or stamp her hoof.
Guide her along the floor, and her wings flutter.
My Magical Princess Twilight Sparkle has a 90-plus phrase vocabulary. She can tell stories, and she has four different modes.
The modes include one each for friendship advice, storytelling, singing, and spells. To activate these, press the sensor in her left hoof the specified number of times.
Songs include the My Little Pony Princess theme entitled. “We Got This Together”, “Twilight’s a Princess”, and “One Small Thing”.
Leave Sparkle alone for a while, and she will fall asleep and make sleeping sounds. To wake her up, press the star on her hoof.
The filling consists of polyethylene and polyester foam.
If the toy gets dirty, it can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

While some fans of the original TV show initially reacted negatively to the idea of Twilight Sparkle’s transformation, the vast majority came on board long ago and have not only accepted but also embraced her new persona.
